* How to practice mindfulness:
* Meditation: A classic technique to quiet the mind, but we meditate on the word find a verse and visualize each word popping into your head then dissipating as one example of meditating on the word another is to associate a visual image with the verse and use the verse to build out the image either way the point is to focus in on the word and allow it to refresh, renew and restore our minds
* Deep breathing: A quick and easy way to calm your nerves.
* Mindful eating: Savor each bite, paying attention to the taste, texture, and smell.

Reference Scriptures - pray this prayer as you open your heart, mind and bible
Heavenly Father, May Your Holy Spirit illuminate my mind with a deep understanding of Your Word. Grant me an intense desire to seek You daily through Scripture. Empower me to discern Your divine will and purpose for my life. Shield me from distractions and fill my heart and mind with Your enlightening revelation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
Philippians 4:8 NLT
{this is biblical mindfulness when we steady our minds on these things there is nothing that can worry us most anxieties are based in fears of things that haven’t even happened so when we shift our focus to what is authentic and real anxieties melt away because they are perceived threats not things that have actually happened}
“So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life? “And why would you worry about your clothing? Look at all the beautiful flowers of the field. They don’t work or toil, and yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was robed in beauty like one of these! So if God has clothed the meadow with hay, which is here for such a short time and then dried up and burned, won’t he provide for you the clothes you need—you of little faith? “So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? “So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.””
Matthew 6:27-34 TPT
{the main two things that pop out to me in these verse is by worrying can anyone add anything to their life?… the obvious answer is no and Jesus is kind of hitting us with the shrug like then why worry and also the verse about deal with each challenge as it comes in another translation says tomorrow has enough problems so in other words focus on what you can do presently have lists of tasks that will need to be addressed but don’t stress over addressing them when it’s not the time to and God is so intentional sometimes you working out of timing is what’s stressing you out when you allow him to work and you deal with each challenge as it comes up the solution might not have been released yet and you’re worrying yourself and he already worked it out}
“be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus. Do not restrain the Holy Spirit;”
1 Thessalonians 5:18-19 GNT
{notice it says all circumstances gratitude changes our perspective and places God back at the forefront. Instead of our problems, we can magnify him and his name, and also this is what he wants for us and what it looks like when we don’t we grieve, quench, stifle or restrain the Holy Spirit so logically by giving thanks we please, expand, give life to and unbind the power of the Holy Spirit}
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
{we’ve all heard this verse but what sticks out to me this time is thanking God for all he has done is apart of the instructions on how we receive God’s perfect peace}
“Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with you; they confidently trust in you.”
Isaiah 26:3 TPT
{we must be full consumed with the Lord and confidently trust in him in order to experience his true, complete and perfect peace that transcends all understanding }
“Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”
John 14:27 AMPC
{this verse lets us know there is multiple kinds of peace there is a perfect peace God gives and there is a peace that the world gives. He tells us the worldly peace is fragile, fleeting and temporary and that’s how we can spot the difference because his peace helps us overcome and conquer troubled and fearful hearts so if the peace you are feeling is able to be agitated, disturbed, intimidated or unsettled it is not the peace of the Lord}
Pray 🙏🏽 & Ponder 🤔 Prompts
Holy Spirit open my heart and mind to your guidance, illuminate my understanding & reveal your truth & to me as I pray on and ponder these questions
* How can I cultivate a more mindful approach to my daily life? What distractions often pull me away from the present moment?
* What specific blessings am I taking for granted? How can I express my gratitude to others?
* What specific areas of my life am I trying to control? How can I surrender those areas to God's care?
* How can I make time for spiritual disciplines in my busy schedule? What steps can I take to deepen my relationship with God?
Find a quiet, peaceful place where you won't be disturbed. Close your eyes and take a few deep, calming breaths. Focus on your breath, feeling the rise and fall of your chest. Notice the sensations in your body, the sounds around you, and the gentle touch of your clothing.
Imagine yourself on a serene beach, the warm sun kissing your skin. The gentle lapping of waves against the shore creates a soothing rhythm. As you breathe deeply, you feel a sense of peace washing over you.
Take a moment to express gratitude for the beauty of nature, the gift of life, and the love of God.
Now, imagine a storm brewing on the horizon. Dark clouds gather, and the wind begins to howl. As the waves grow larger, you might feel a sense of anxiety or fear.
But you are not alone. You are securely anchored to the solid rock of God's love. This rock is unwavering, unyielding, and eternally faithful. As the storm rages, you trust in God's unwavering love and protection.
Focus on your breath, calming your mind. Repeat a simple prayer or mantra, such as "Peace be still," or "I am calm and at peace."
When the storm passes, the sea returns to its calm state. You emerge from the experience stronger, more resilient, and more deeply rooted in God's love.
Take a moment to reflect on your own spiritual journey. How can you cultivate mindfulness, gratitude, and trust in your daily life? Lord, thank you for reminding us of the importance of self-care. Help us to be mindful of our thoughts and actions, grateful for your blessings, and intentional about rest. May we find peace and restoration in your presence. In Jesus' name, Amen. As you open your eyes, carry the peace and assurance of this meditation with you throughout your day.
Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, seeking Your guidance and peace. Help me to be present in this moment, to focus on You and Your will for my life. May I be mindful of Your presence and grateful for Your blessings, both big and small.
I thank You for Your abundant love and grace. Help me to cultivate a heart of gratitude, always recognizing Your goodness in my life.
Lord, I often find myself worrying and anxious. Please help me to trust in Your sovereignty and let go of my worries. Grant me the peace that surpasses all understanding.
I long to nourish my soul through Your Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers. Guide me in seeking Your will for my life. May I be obedient to Your calling and live a life that honors You.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
