Gorgeous 4 God’s Glory:21 day journey to Self Love, Self Care & Divine Purpose

Grow up & Glow Up In God’s Grace

Day 9: Define our inner essence

Reference scriptures - Pray that the Holy Spirit give you understanding of the precepts, context & personal application, read on your own study time; compare different translations for deeper meaning, specific illuminations & revelation

“Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭TPT‬‬

{reminds us to make a decisive dedication of our bodies as living sacrifices, devoted & consecrated do not be conformed to this age but be transformed/changed by the renewing of our minds with new ideals & new attitudes so that you may prove 4 yourselves what is the good and perfect will of God, even the thing that’s good acceptable and perfect in his sight for you }

“Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions). Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death. Do not be misled, my beloved brethren.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

{reminds us that temptation comes from within and from the world, and that we can resist it through faith and perseverance and the transformation of our minds which in turn will change our desires}

“Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance —none of these things come from the Father but from the world.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭TPT‬‬

{The passage warns against worldly desires, urging us to prioritize love for God and His children. It identifies three primary sources of temptation: the world, the flesh, and the enemy.

The world, with its empty values and opposition to God's design, tempts us to conform to its cultural norms. Our own flesh, with its sinful inclinations and passions, can also lead us astray. The enemy, actively seeking to deceive and corrupt, further complicates the battle.

Christ's temptation in the desert exemplifies these three sources: the world tempted Him to misuse power, the flesh to indulge physical needs, and the Devil to forsake God.

In this spiritual battle, we must be vigilant against the enemy's deceptive tactics. He seeks to destroy our relationships, businesses, and communities. However, by submitting to God's transformative power, we can overcome these schemes and align our focus, desires, and values with His divine plan.}

Pray 🙏🏽 & Ponder 🤔 Prompts

Pray that the Holy Spirit open your spiritual eyes and mind to perceive anything he is speaking to you as you pray and ponder these questions

* A Heart Laid Bare: As you seek God's face, ask Him to illuminate the hidden corners of your heart. Where do you need His transforming touch?

 * A Worldly Perspective or a Heavenly One? Have you truly turned away from the allure of the world? Is your heart fully devoted to God's kingdom?

 * Living a Biblically-Centered Life: How closely aligned is your daily life with the teachings of Scripture? Are you actively seeking to apply God's Word to your thoughts, words, and actions?

 * Listening to the Still, Small Voice: Do you take time to listen to God's voice? Are you willing to silence the noise of the world to hear His gentle guidance?

A Meditation: Growth and Transformation

Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, inhaling peace and exhaling stress.

Picture yourself as a tiny seed, nestled deep within the rich, dark earth. You are dormant, a potential life, waiting for the perfect moment to awaken.

Feel the warmth of the sun’s rays, a golden beam piercing the soil, warming your core.

As the warmth penetrates, you begin to stir. Tiny chutes emerge, pushing upward towards the light. You grow steadily, day by day, drawing nourishment from the earth and the sky.

Imagine a gentle breeze, carrying the sweet scent of life and growth, rustling your tender leaves.

A wise Gardener, God Himself, tends to you with loving care. With gentle hands, He prunes away the dead branches, shaping you into a strong and fruitful tree. You may not always understand His methods, but you trust in His wisdom.

Visualize the vibrant colors of your leaves, a tapestry of green, a testament to the life within you.

As you continue to grow, you bear fruit, sweet and abundant. Your fruit nourishes others, bringing joy and sustenance to all who partake.

Feel the gentle rain, washing over you, cleansing your soul and refreshing your spirit.

You are a masterpiece, a living testament to God’s love and grace. You are strong, resilient, and eternally beautiful.

Take a moment to bask in the peace and tranquility of this vision.

When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, carrying the peace and inspiration of this meditation with you throughout your day.

Prayer

*Heavenly Father, we come before You today, humbled and seeking Your guidance. We yearn to walk closely with You, surrendering our hearts and minds to Your will. Fill us with Your Spirit, empowering us with wisdom, strength, and courage. May we learn to listen attentively to Your voice, obeying Your commands and boldly following Your lead.

*Grant us pure thoughts that honor You and uplift others. May our words bring life and encouragement to all those around us. Transform us from the inside out, shaping us into Your likeness.

We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
